Internet Marketing: Step-By-Step Sales Process.
In this article I am going to go through step by step what your sales process should be when you are promoting your online business. Although the actual implementation will be different depending on your specific customer the process itself is the same.
Building Awareness
First of all you need to make people aware of your business and what you offer. This might be creating a blog and writing blog posts to draw visitors in. It might be getting involved in forums that are related to your business or writing articles.
If people do not know about your business and what you offer then you will never make any sales.
Relationship Building
Once people are aware of what you offer you need to begin to build relationships with them. This might be by delivering content or you might encourage people to sign up to your email campaign whereby you can build a trusting relationship there.
Discovering The Needs
As you build relationships with your potential prospects you need to find out what their needs are. This is very important as it enables you to provide the specific solution that the majority of your subscribers are needing.
This should be an ongoing process as your subscribers needs will change over time.
Presenting The Solution (Product Promotion)
Once you have discovered what needs your subscribers have you can then present the solution in the form of a product. Ideally this will be a product that you have created yourself because your subscribers have a relationship with you.
Your Call To Action
When you offer your product as the solution to a specific need make sure that you have a specific call to action. If you are writing about your solution in your email campaign then the action you will want your subscribers to take is to click through to read your sales page.
Once your subscribers have reached your sales page then your new call to action will be for them to click on the purchase button.
Rinse And Repeat
As you make more and more people aware of your business and products you will find that over time the needs of new people may differ from the needs that people had previously.
Therefore part of your sales process will be to continually determine what your subscribers needs are and producing the product or the solutions to meet those needs time and again.
